К вопросу об оружии

bytebuster463Лично у меня ещё не сложилось однозначного мнения на эту тему. Все народы имеют разный менталитет, разную культуру и исторические традиции.
Но вот этот аргумент достаточно силён. Знаете, почему Гитлер, располагая всей экономикой Европы (и используя помощь ещё многих не европейских стран), тем не менее, не сделал со Швейцарией то же, что он сделал с остальными?

But when military planners looked at Switzerland's well-armed citizenry, mountainous terrain, and civil defence fortifications, Switzerland lost its appeal as an invasion target. While two World Wars raged, Switzerland enjoyed a secure peace.
И сейчас каждый мужчина, отслужив в армии, получает своё оружие в постоянное пользование. Даже если это гранатомёт. Раз в год полиция проверяет сохранность, не велась ли из него стрельба, и т.д.
Количество преступлений, даже по сравнению с другими благополучными европейскими странами, показательно.
И так — на протяжении ближайших 497 лет.
Примерно об этом же говорил японский адмирал Исороку Ямамото (возглавлявший известную атаку на Пёрл-Харбор)
